Joakim
Eneroth won several photography prizes in
Sweden since he took up photography in the late nineties. His photo
book
“Without End” was received with enthusiasm in France and Sweden where
the
impact of his work is compared to that of photographers like the
Swedish master
Christer Stromholm. In 2005 his series “Testimony” and “Waiting” were
part of
the Noorderlicht Photofestival “Traces & Omens” in
Groningen/Netherlands.
Joakim Eneroth is a Swedish
artist and photographer,
born in Stockholm 1969. He released his photo book “Without End”
in 2003 in
Swedish. At the release in 2003 it was exhibited at the Stockholm
Culture
house. The book was also released in France in 2005. During 2005 it had
been
exhibited in February at Gallerie Lichtblick in Cologne/Germany, in
March in
Detroit in USA, in May at Transphotographic in Lille, in June in Paris
at Pola
Art. His photo book “Without End” won The Prix Voies Off 2005 at the
international photo festival in Arles in July (president of the jury was Antoine d’Agata and 630
photographers had applieed
for that prize), At Noorderlicht festival in the
Nederlands in September Joakim Eneroth
was represented with two exhitions: “Waiting” and “Testimony”. In
September and
October he exhibited the work in Finland at the Finish photo festival
“Backlight”. In October he received the prize for new creating Swedish
photography. In November the Without End material was exhibited at the
Spanish
photo-biennale. In January 2006 “Without End” is shown in the
Netherlands at
the Noorderlicht gallery. And in March is the largest exhibition for
“Without
End” so far at FotoFest, the photobiennale in USA in Huston, in
September it is
going to be exhibited in Lyon/France. In 2005 Joakim Eneroth
also received a two year working scholarship from
the
Swedish Artist Department and is now working on new photo book
projects. The
Museum of Fine arts in Houston have bought photographs so has the George
Eastman house.

Joakim Eneroth a gagné de
nombreux prix depuis qu’il s’est mis à la photographie fin des
années nonante.
Son livre de photo « Without End » a
été reçu avec enthousiasme en
France et en Suède où l’impact de son travail est
comparé à celui du maître
suédois Christopher Stromholm.
Joakim Eneroth,

de la Culture de Stockholm. Le
Livre a été également publié en France en
2005. Durant l’année 2005, il a été
montré en février à la Galerie Lichtblick de
Cologne/Allemagne, en mars à
Detroit/USA, en mai à Transphotographiques à Lille/France
et en juin à la
Galerie Pola Art de Paris. Son livre de photo « Without
End » a gagné
le prix Voies Off en juillet 2005 au festival d’Arles. En Septembre au
Noorderlicht festival de Hollande, Joakim Eneroth présente sa
série
« Testimony » et « Waiting ». En
septembre et en octobre il
présente son travail en Finlande au festival
« Backlight ». En
octobre, il reçoit le prix de la nouvelle création
photographique suédoise. En
novembre, « Without End » est à la
biennale de photographie
d’Espagne. En janvier 2006 « Without End » est
montré à la Noorderlicht
gallery en Hollande. En mars aura lieu la plus grande exposition
à FotoFest, la
biennale de photo à Huston/USA. En septembre le travail sera
exposé à Lyon. En
2005, Joakim Eneroth a également reçu une bourse pour
deux ans du département
artistique de Suède. Il travaille actuellement sur un nouveau
projet de livre
de photo.
